Close the shift and run the Z-Report
Count the drawer, close the shift and lock its figures.
- Check the running figures any time in Manager → End-of-Day Report (the X-Report). If it cannot be read, the tab says why and offers Retry.
- To close, open Manager → Shift Management → Close Shift — or Day End on the till.
- Count the drawer, enter the card terminal's total, and confirm. The X-Report becomes the final Z-Report; print it, or save it as Excel or PDF.
The Z shows Gross Sales, Total Discounts and Net Sales = Gross Sales − Discounts. Voids are shown for information only: voided items left the bill before payment, so they are not taken off Net Sales. It also covers tax, tips, payment methods, order types, categories, staff and the cash reconciliation (opening float, expected, counted, variance).
Money received on credit sales during the day is in the takings: Credit sales paid in cash (in the drawer) is added to the cash the drawer should hold, and Credit sales paid by card (in the card batch) to the card figure; a payment by bank transfer is shown for information only, as Credit sales paid by bank transfer. The takings also show Float top-ups and paid-outs (counted in the cash expected in the drawer), Booking fees taken and Booking deposits used on bills (taken earlier). Each of these rows appears only when it is not zero. While the day is open, the X-Report also shows Rider cash handed over this day — the rider cash settled since the day opened; a Z does not.
The screen, the receipt printer, the print dialog and the Excel and PDF files all carry the same takings rows. Printed through the print dialog, or saved as Excel or PDF, the report follows the language of the screen; a Z printed on the receipt printer is in English. Closed days are listed under Previous shifts in Shift Management; View Z opens one again, worked out from the records.
IBEX checks the day can close first: open bills, void or discount requests awaiting review, and sales any terminal has not sent yet. Closing needs a connection to the server.
Closing is one-way — there is no re-open. Each closed shift also queues its sales voucher for Tally.
