How the Tally integration works
IBEX posts balanced accounting vouchers into your Tally Prime company.
IBEX queues accounting vouchers, and a small Tally connector running on the PC with Tally Prime imports them into your Tally company. Your accountant keeps working in Tally as usual.
| What happens in IBEX | What reaches Tally |
|---|---|
| A shift is closed (Z-Report) | One consolidated sales voucher for that till |
| A purchase invoice is posted or paid | A purchase voucher |
| Cash expenses | A journal, per day |
| Money is received on a credit sale, in full or in part | A receipt for each payment, dated the day the money arrived |
| A refund or void | A credit note |
- Follow the queue, Tally's answers and every attempt in Admin → Tally Sync.
- Each voucher posts once — a retry never double-posts.
- Tax posts in your country's terms; for Indian restaurants, GST is posted split into CGST and SGST (or IGST).
Note
Tally is never exposed to the internet: the connector fetches from IBEX and talks to Tally on the same PC or network.
