Timers, colours and rush
Make the board show urgency at a glance.
Each ticket's timer changes colour as it passes the Caution, Warning and Critical times — amber, then orange, then red. Past Critical the red card also pulses, and the screen beeps while alerts are on. A ticket whose dishes are all held at the till stays calm until it is fired.
- Set the three times in Admin → System Settings → Kitchen Display Timers — whole minutes from 1 to 240, each later than the one before.
- To push an order to the front, tap the lightning icon (Toggle rush) on its card on the kitchen screen — it is marked RUSH and sorted first. The star marks Priority, sorted next.
Note
Rush is set on the kitchen screen only — the till does not raise it. If the floor needs an order hurried, tell the kitchen.
Tip
Keep the times tight enough that red actually means late — if everything is red, nothing is.
