Update an app

The Android POS app, the Windows app and the rider app check for a new build once a day and never update on their own. When one is ready, Update available shows on the home screen (and in the rider app).

1. Anyone signed in taps Update available — or an admin opens Admin → System Settings → About & updates and taps Check for updates.
2. Tap Update now. An admin signed in needs no PIN; anyone else asks a manager or admin to enter theirs.
3. The app downloads, checks and applies the update, then restarts.

• The previous build is kept and comes back by itself if the new one fails to start; on Windows, Roll back to previous puts it back by hand.
• An app too old to update in place says so, and offers the new install to download.
• A browser terminal updates itself — reload the page.
