The sync outbox

Where changes wait until they reach the server, and how to read the count.

Updated 30 Sep 2026Offline, Sync & Data

Every sale and change is saved on the terminal first and queued in its outbox. While the terminal is offline it says so and shows how many changes are waiting to send; when the connection returns they go by themselves, in order, once each.

  • Sync Mode (System Settings → Hardware & Printing): in Manual, nothing moves until someone taps Sync now.
  • Devices shows each terminal's unsent count and last sync.
  • If the server set a change aside, the terminal shows N changes could not be saved — tap Show for the reason, then Retry.
Important

Unsent sales live only on that terminal until they are sent. IBEX warns before anything that would lose them — signing out, updating the app or connecting the terminal elsewhere — and shows how many are waiting. Let the count reach zero first.
