Record tips and gratuity
Capture a tip on payment so it reaches staff and reports correctly.
- On the payment screen, type the tip in Tip (Optional).
- The amount to take becomes the bill plus the tip — on a card, charge that total.
- Confirm the payment; the tip prints on the receipt and is reported apart from sales.
Note
A tip is not offered on a credit sale. It is voluntary and separate from a service charge, which is added to the bill automatically.
