A card payment has no approval code
IBEX records the card payment — the approval comes from your card machine.
No card machine is connected to IBEX yet. The customer pays on your bank's machine, and the cashier records the card tender on the till, typing the approval code from the slip.
- If the machine declines, take another tender — don't record a card payment.
- No slip? Check the machine's own transaction list before charging again.
- Type an approval code only when the machine actually approved.
Important
The card-machine simulator approves nothing real. It is offered only on IBEX test and demo systems, never on a live restaurant's till, and its approval codes start with SIM-.
Note
Payment Gateways in System Settings power your website's Pay online only, never the till.
