Read the sales figures
Takings and order counts for any period.
- Open Admin → Reports & Analytics and choose the period (or Custom, with From and To dates).
- Read the tiles: Total Revenue, Total Orders, Avg Order Value and the tax collected, with Refunds, Revenue after refunds and Tips (not in revenue).
- Below them: the daily revenue and orders charts, Revenue by Platform (the till against website orders) and the Daily Sales Summary table — revenue, orders, average, tax, service charge and the trend against the day before.
Days with no sales show as zeros instead of disappearing. Revenue by Zone splits dine-in by table section, with takeaway and delivery as rows of their own.
Revenue here is the settled bills, VAT and fees included, without tips and before refunds, and each day is a business day: a bill counts on the business day it was created (rung up), not the day it was settled, and a refund on the day it was made. The business day starts at your restaurant's day-start hour — 05:00 unless an admin changes it under Admin → System Settings → Business day and order numbers. It is a different figure from the Z-Report's Net Sales, which is Gross Sales − Discounts before VAT, with voids shown for information only — see the Z-Report. If the report cannot be loaded, it says so and offers Try again instead of showing zeros.
Compare like-for-like days (this Friday against last Friday) — hospitality is strongly day-of-week driven.
