Install the Windows app

Run IBEX as a Windows application — offline-capable, with silent printing and no admin rights.

  1. Download ibex-pos-windows.zip from Download Apps on the sign-in screen.
  2. Unzip it and double-click install.bat — no administrator rights needed. On a kitchen PC, answer yes when it asks whether this is the kitchen screen.
  3. Open IBEX POS from the Start Menu, connect the terminal with the setup code from Admin → System Settings → Add another terminal, and sign in.

The Windows app includes the print service for USB and network printers, keeps working without internet, and updates itself from inside the app — see update an app.

Note

The same package carries install-hub.bat, which makes one always-on PC per branch the restaurant hub, so the branch's devices keep working together while the internet is down — see how offline-first works. It needs administrator rights and a hub code from Admin → System Settings → Restaurant hub; the ordinary install.bat never touches a hub.

Tip

Pin it to the taskbar on a fixed till PC so staff always open the right thing.
