Set up the cash drawer

Connect a drawer so it opens on cash sales.

  1. Plug the drawer into the receipt printer's kick port.
  2. In Admin → System Settings → Printer Targets, set Drawer on that receipt printer (pin 2 or pin 5, as the drawer's manual says).
  3. Tap Test — it opens the drawer too — then take a test cash sale.
Note

The drawer opens through the printer, so the printer must be working for the drawer to open.
